purple up???

Hello to you all! This is my first post. I was wondering if purple up or products like it, do they work on getting coral line algae? Anyone recommend a particular brand.

i use it and like it alot. it targets the rocks surface and dissolves on it with a few different things that help coraline algae grow. and my calcium levels are good from using it. but remember that coraline has to be in the tank already. and if you want the purple up to help even more...scrape some coraline off a rock and put the scarpings in front of a powerhead and they will seed rest of the rock.

I use to use it. It helped a lot with the growth! But I stopped since my calcium levels went out of control! You just have to watch for that. Also it produces phosphates wich help the green algaes grow, so that was another problem.
