Has anyone had A purple pincushin sea urchin eat the coralline algae rite off the live rock?it seams like he is clear cutting my live rock like a fn' logger. feather dusters , tube worms, purple algae,green algae everything till it is white live rock. what should I do?I have had this urchin for over a year and it has never done this before. help any info would be great. sage

Yep...they can clear cut. Can knock things around also.

Yes, mine used to eat the coralline off my LR. I started feeding it algae sheets.

They eat the croaline after becuase they have cleaned out the other algae. Donate it to someone with an algae problem.!!!!!

I had lots of algae growing on my glass and it still ate my coralline. I intentionally let the algae for the urchin.
