Putting additional sand in - Is it OK?

I have a DSB (5" play sand) that is about 6 weeks old. The problem is that the sand is very fine and gets blown around by the power heads.
Can I add some larger grain Live sand ( Carrib sea ) on top to stop this or will I cause problems. Should I remove the top layer of the fine sand before adding the new

OK, I've just found a post on the Reef page with a similar question. Answers suggest it is OK..Let me know if any different.

i would make sure you pour it down a tube, to prevent alot of sand floating around

you dont need to add more, just readjust your powerheads, sometimes it is not easy but there is a point to where it will work out for you
