PVC and the cement

Is there any special PVC pipe or Cement that should be used with my Saltwater aquarium? If not should the pipe be flushed or anything before using? ( I'm going to flush it to clean it but I'm talking about flush for hours or something to take care of solvent out gassing from the cement or anything like that)

Purple primer and clear cement. Nothing special.
I just rinsed mine off with water.
After gluing, let it sit for 48 hours before using. I blew though it after that time to get the fumes out.

go to home depot and they have the primer and glue next to all the pvc.

Just take a look at the glues and make sure its safe for drinking water use. I THINK most of them are. I have been using a yellow-ish one that does not need the primer (cause I am lazy). The other thing I try to use it spareingly and on the outside only so it will have minimal water contact.

Just sched 40 pvc pipe and pvc cement..same as used for potable water in your home....

you can also find clear primer ...so you dont get purple all over the pipes...or floor...it stains really bad and fast
