I want to make a spray bar using PVC...I heard they make grey colored PVC pipe but I can't find it. Can I paint regular white PVC and if so what brand of paint? The white looks too obvious.
Thanks

Flower you can get some gray sch 40 pvc that will fit your return from lowes or h.d., and possibly hardware stores. It's down the electrical isle. Just ask for pvc conduit and they'll know what you're talking about.

NikeSB.....Krylon Fushion paint on PVC will cause no ill effects.....It's been done forever.....Flower Corey is right go to Lowes or HD and go to the electrical department and ask them.

I forgot this entire thread...LOL..I know Corey has seen my invention on my Aquaripure thread. Home Depot nor Lowes had any, my friend Ken was with me. I haven't checked Menards. We did look in the electric section they had lots of metal pipes, conduit whatever you call it, and we asked the worker in the isles. We did call it grey PVC not conduit when we asked, so maybe he just didn't know what we needed. I'm not so sure about the Krylon paint either, I was thinking about marine paint but it costs so much.
I will check out some more stores. I have my gizmo rigged up and working. When I find the grey I will swap it out, I paid 94 cents for each 2 foot of PVC pipe so it's not a big deal to change it.
You guys are the greatest..always so helpful.

most marine paint has chemicals that are harmful for sea life. thats its main purpose so that barnacles and such wont stick to the bottom of ships

Epoxy paint would probably be your best best if you could find some that you could tint grey.
Lowes or H.D. should have it Flower, all the ones that I've been in do and it's always down one of the electical isles somewhere near the metal conduit.

I agree, it SHOULD be there. Ken was with me, and he does home stuff and makes things all the time and he couldn't find it either. I know they have the paint for sure. Problem is my mom is real sick and I don't want to leave her alone. If my sister comes by later like she is supposed to, maybe I can go back and see if we just missed it and didn't ask for the right thing when we asked for help.
