PVC Pipe Suggestion/Question

Ok haven't been here more than a week, don't own a tank yet, and I'm just researching and I am seeing that a lot of stuff can be done for cheaper with pvc diy projects.... how comes noone uses clear rigid PVC instead of the white kind? Is it bad for fish? Just an FYI for myself when i get my tank going eventually.

oh ok... jw last time i purchased pvc was when my friend and I made a PVC gun back when i was a freshman in h.s.

oo it costs like $100 for 8ft when normal white is like $5

Don't overlook the alge problem...even with high flow through the lines over time you will build up some alge with light being let into the lines....they won't look as pretty then.

True... depending on the color though you could have some cool "Neo Green" Plumbing hehe.
