PVC Plumbing ?

Hello All. I'm setting up a new tank. Should I go with PVC plumbing or the flexible clear tube? What are the pros/cons? Thanks for all your help.

Is there a recommend adhesive to use when connecting PVC? I want to make sure whatever glue/solvent I use is reef safe.

Thanks for the info. I used the same logic about home plumming with PVC, but I wanted to double check. Hopefully that will be next weekend's project - overflow box, sump and plumming.
