PVC plumming in the tank

hey I was wondering is it safe to use PVC pipe to plum in my U.V. sterilizer. currently I am using 5/8 flexable tubing it looks tachy. will the PVC glue poison my tank or is their special glue you got to get

Make sure that the pvc primer and cement are both listed by NSF ( National Safety Foundation )
You'd think by looking at the label of pvc cement that these organic compounds would not be safe - but if you cement fittings together and let them dry - you'll be okay.
I always glue, then let dry overnight if possible, and then I'll run tapwater through the fittings/piping prior to placing it in my tank.
Maybe paranoid.
Maybe just a precaution.
But it makes me feel better.

thanx, the flex tubing I have looks terrible. I figured PVC will atleast look better. I just was'nt sure about the pipe glue and the fish.
the more I think about it, I fill my tank from my tap and I have PVC pipe soooo the fish are still alive so the glue is non toxic I guess. <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />
