I can help them make sum kickass displays if it envolves poster board and markers! lol
I know I SUCK! But in my defense....
Last year we had them done early..I dont know what happened this year
The web is no help..unless Im searching it all wrong,

For one of my projects I made a cell out of jello and other random items. I made the clear jello and then let it set but not all the way and then added my items. Cinnamon sticks for the mitochondrion, A scented bath ball for the nucleus etc. It was easy and looked pretty good!:D

When I did mine I saw some other cool ideas instead of jello. There was a cake, a pillow and other cool stuff.

How about something real simple ...Like the density difference between salt water and fresh...
Two buckets of water, one salt (you can test and record salinity)
and one with fresh (only good use for tap water)
A wooden croquet ball ( or similar dense floating object)
Same ball floats 3/4 sunk in fresh and 1/2 sunk in salt...
How come...?? Etc...etc...

This is a great project that is really easy. All you need is a picture of a cell and its components as a reference and then use household items fof them. i.e. the cinammon and pasta etc.

hey mom!

in 6th grade i did an uber easy project!
my grandpa took a broken off branch from a pine hedge and planted it many years ago, and today it is a very big bush itself. so i decided to take a bunch of brancheas from several different species and see if any grow themselves new roots and grow. it is very simple, just ask your child to collect those little milk cartons from school to use as potters. make sure they all get same amount of light and same amount of water.
good luck:joy:

Here is a quick and easy one. Get some bar magnets. Paint the north end red and the south end white. Then place one of the magnets on a plate in a pan of water. The kids can take turn by pushing and pulling the plate around the pan with another magnet.
