Q about flower/rock anemone

I've have this gorgeous flower/rock anemone for 3 wks...it looks fine except for one thing...its mouth. The mouth is open...NOT gaping open and there is nothing coming out of the mouth. Plus it has repeatedly rejected my offers of food. It tentacles are plump, it is spread out over the lr, its color looks good...in fact its color is better than when I bought it and it tentacles are plumper.
The first week I had it, it did expel some of the brown stringy stuff which I know was some of its photosynthesis stuff (sorry for my lack of proper technical/biological terms), but it very little...surely not enough to hurt the anemone. So maybe its just going to take time for the anemone to recup?? :help:
(water parameters, salinity, temps are all good)

The word is zooxanthellae.
When are you trying to feed it? Try an hour after lights off just for grins in some cases it makes a difference.
What are you trying to feed it?
Can you tell if the tenticals are sticky at all?

Thank you.
I've offered mysis & brine shrimp, frozen formula 1 and frozen reef formula and bits of scallop. I've offered the food at different intervals during the day & evening. I try after lights out to see if that makes a difference.
The tentacles seem to be sticky..I'll pay more attention next time I feed.
