Do I just add saltwater like starting the main tank? How do I cycle it? How long does it take? Do I put anything else in?

Add saltwater and some LR, (just for the cycle), and add damsels if you want. Takes about a month to cycle. When cycle is finished take out the LR.

You can put old filter cartridge or sponge that has so many bacterias living in it, and put that in your new tank, that might help speed up the cycle. I tried BIOZYME and it speed up my cycle.

yuo can make this whole Qtank cycle much faster, by using your main tank water, and any spare live rock from the main system. Also a sponge filter which you place on the sand bed for 2-4 days will contain plenty of bacteria on it.
