QT check

My qt used to be a freshwater tank. It has.....
1 Small yellow tang with 4 spots of ick on him
some rock from the fw tank
pebble gravel
1.017 salinity goin for 1.009
an air powered filter with a bubbler on top
And a clip with some spinage soaked in garlic.
were goin a little fast with the hypo but he never minded acclimation and water treatment.
So sound good???

If the fish are doing OK, fine for now, but you should not really have gravel or rocks in a QT. Read the FAQ section stickied here on this Forum for QT info.

He's a yellow tang He needs a place to conceal him self
If he was in a empty tank he would pobably be dead
But hes doing great 1 spot of ick on him
he dosent mind much of water change
he swims around the tank and eat spinach
he picks at the gravel
and were going to lower the salinity a little tonight
80 degrees in the tank
Whats wrong with gravel and rocks
Its not live rock
we soaked the spinach in garlic

i meant water change
im not useing medication so the gravel can stay
hes getting better

hes about 3 inches long

2 days ago we reached hypo The fish is realy happy.

As I said before, for QT info on SW tanks, read the FAQ section stickied in this forum.
The gravel and rocks will be ok if you are treating for ich with hypo, however, if you have to medicate in a QT, antibiotics, cooper, etc., then the rocks/gravel will absorb the medications, diminishing the viability of the treatment.
Are you offering the tang more than spinich? Tanks can't live off of spinich alone. They need some meaty foods as well.

Meaty marine fish flakes and brine shrimp

See if you can get some REAL marine greens in the tangs diet. Like SeaWeed Selects.

I put the tang in the main because the other fish got ick. So i took out the inverts. We left some shrimp in but those shrimp can be caught in fw. we have almost reached hypo agian. The tang has eaten:
brine shrimp.
Algae disc crumbs
Hair algae
letuce
spinach
He likes to get cleaned but the shrimp are afriad of him.
