Well I have been reading alot on qt and I was wondering should you qt inverts, and coral as well, or just fish? I was wodering because when my tank is ready a friend of mine is going to give me some frags from his tank. I was going to put them on in, figured all will be well but then started wondering if they carry anything that can be harmfull as well. After reading what everyone has said I am definately looking at setting up a qt.

It can not be harmful to QT all inverts and rock before going into your tank as long as you have the properly sized,
cycled and lit tank.

Coral dip (tropic marin makes a good one) can also be your best friend.... (says the person who didn't and ended up with flatworms :-O )

Quarantine anything wet, especially if it was in with fish. Some may consider it "too much", until an outbreak happens. For non fish, the qt time is only three weeks.
