QT hospital

i believe i got ICH
set up QT 20gal with PVC and a shell
i put in heat, powerhead, air rock.
should i keep salinity on low side?
also got one fish very ill, should i keep it with others?
how long do i QT fish?
should i do any thing to my show aquarium?

Hyposalinity is the preferred treatment for ich. Try to drop the salinity down to 1.009 over several days. Use a refractometer or high grade large glass hydrometer to measure this. See the Basic FAQ at the top of this forum for more specifics. Keep the salinity down for 21 days.
All of your fish need to be treated. There is usually no need to separate out the sickest one.
Is the 20 gal tank cycled? If not, you might consider putting your live rock, corals and inverts in the smaller tank and doing hyposalinity in your display tank. These cannot be treated with hyposalinity or copper. They will become ich-free if they remain fishless for 30 days.
Most people don't use air rocks in SW aquaria. It contributes to salt creep and the bubbles can occasionally make fish ill.
