QT new fish?

Hi Guys!
Bought a new Royal Gramma today and he is in my QT, just a few questions.
How long in QT?
Should i feed him some garlic as well with his food?

Minimum 3 wks in QT if the fish remains healthy. Of course, if the fish has a disease that you need to treat it will be longer than that.
Yes garlic soaked food would be a good measure---sorta. My concern here is that garlic may minimize an acual brewing ich problem, which might go unnoticed until you place the fish in the display and suddently ich breaks out full force. To avoid this, you could just hypo the fish while it is in QT....regardless of any signs of ich.

ok thanks beth, what I will do is not feed it garlic so I will see if there are any signs of Ich. It is a very reputable supplier but you never know of course!
