I am going to place an order from SWF and had a couple questions on the QT process. I currently do not have a QT, I do have a couple of 10 gallon tanks laying around with bio-wheel filters and heaters. Do I need to have CC or LS in the tank, or could I just take water from my display tank and use that?
Currently I have CC and I am thinking of switching to LS. Currently I have only 1 fish (damsel), 1 shroom, 1 anenome, CB shrimp, and some crabs and snails, about 45lbs of LR. My tank has been up for about 2 months. If I take out all the LR and everything else out ot the tank in put it into the 10 gallons and then swith to LS, will this start another cycle? How much LS do I need, versus not live sand. What kind of sand can I buy from home depot? Could I buy 1 bag of LS from the LFS and the rest from home depot. About how many pounds total will I need. My future plans are to add
2 per clowns
1 tang, opinions on which one are welcome?
1 flame or coral beauty angel.
and a few more medium light corals and more clean up crew.
I will add the two clowns first and then add the tang and angle in 3-4 months.
My fliter system, fluval 404, bio-wheel 330, 1 medium size power head.
Thanks
