I've had my cute Midas Blennie in QT now for a week. He's eating, not stressed, and swimming all over the tank. Pratically eats from my hand.
I've been feeding him small amounts of enriched Brine and Formula 2 in the morning (Both with Selcon added) and flake in the evening.
He goes crazy for the flake food.
SG in the QT tank is currently 1.023-1.024, matching my main tank. temp is 82, amm 0, trites 0, trates <5, pH ~8.
What else should I be doing with the QT? Hypo is not currently an option as I don't have a refractometer. I'm wondering how I can make sure that the blennie isn't hosting the ich parasite. Is there any way to be sure even after a 30 day QT time?
As for feeding, I've started using selcon daily in both the QT and the main tank (in the food, in the morning)... Is this too much Selcon? Is there such a thing?
Thanks!
