QT salinety question

what is a good reading for a Q tank

Same as your DT....unless you are Hypo-ing.

Should be same as your DT. If you are doing hypo I would match it as close to what they are in before acclimation then you will hypo when needed. If just QT then you need you keep it as close to your DT as possible.
