i have a 29g tank that has housed my turtle my daughter has lost interest in them so i am giving them away was wondering if someone can tell me what to clean the tank out with so i can use it as qt tank thanks in advance

Water and sponge that’s it, no big thing…

Do NOT use a household sponge, even if it is new out of the package. They have chemicals on them to kill bacteria, so the sponge doesn't get nasty, being that they are almost always damp when being used in the house. Only use sponges, scrapers, scrubbers, suitable for aquarium use. You can use white vinegar to break up the residue in the tank. Scrub the tank out then rinse with water.

Bleach and water, then rinse, rinse, rinse and allow to air out in the sun. Then rinse again.
