QT Tank for Tang

I setup a 10 gallon hospital tank just recently because my yellow tang and cleaner goby have ick and the cleaner goby brought it in the tank. NEVER BUY ANY FISH AT *****! Well anyways it is setup with copper in it for less than a week. In a day or two I am going to put the tang in there he is only an 1.5" and the tiny goby in there until the ick is gone. Does this sound good or should I make some changes.

No, actually, I would not treat the fish using copper. Instead, the best and healthist choice is using hyposalinity.
Here is a link to a resent thread on this topic. Read thru it and see if you have any other questions.

However, if you are going to use copper, you will have to be a bit more precise in your treatment then what you indicate in your post. You will need to maintain theraputic copper levels in the treatment tank for at least 3 wks, a month would be better. Additonally, you will need a copper test kit that is compatible with your copper to be able to read the copper levels in your tank. If you fail to maintain correct dosage in the treatment water, then you will not cure ick with copper.
Post back if you need more assistance.
