QT tank question

My qt tank is growing corraline. How does this happen with plastic decortions and no live rock??? Will this bother anything in a qt tank? Everything in the tank was bought for this tank and has never been in any other tank. I have purple corraline on the powerhead.

the calc in this tank is 450

Well that explains it! Are you dosing your QT with calicum??? Why such a high level of calcium in a QT??

I haven't dosed my qt with anything since I set it up. I have no idea why the calc is so high, all I do is top it off with RO water.
