ok, let me see if i have done this correct...
i had to set up a quarentine tank...
so, i went out and bought a 10 gallon tank...
when i came home, i:
filled it up with water from my display tank...
then i added a heater...
then added a penguin bio wheel filter to it...
then, i got confused...
i then went and took out 1 cup of live sand from my display tank and added it to the tank...
is that a good idea or not? should i tank the sand out? it is just barely enough to cover the bottom of the tank...

yep, i realize the sand can't go back in the main tank...'
it's only a cup so i am not going to miss it.. in my main tank, 55 gallons, i have about 3 inches of live sand... about 100 lbs...
i am treating for ich and brooklynella disease with formalin and malachyte green...
hope the fish make it...
they made it throgh the night last night... :)
thank god...
hope they make it
two little clown fish (nemo and nema) bless their hearts...

BAD treatment plan. Use hyposalinity to threat ich. The procedure is outlined in the FAQ threat, 2nd topic.

Beth- did you not read that i am NOT treating ICH... i am treating clownfish disease (Brooklynella)- and from what i have read hypo-salinity will NOT treat brooklynella... it is ineffective in treating this disease.. the only treatment is the formiline...
are you sure you read my post?
