Just thought I'd share a few pictures of my Quails. :)
Pair
The male has the white face and the female is the all brown one.

Their nest and 7 eggs.

Yup.
That is going to be fun, I have a pair of mallards, plus a wild female the male brought home from somewhere and I am hoping to have some ducklings around soon and looking forward to it.

aww, when do you think they will hatch?
hide those from the Food Network. Everytime I watch something on that channel, quail eggs seem to be the egg of choice

I was actually thinking about getting some ducks for the kids since I grew up with pet ducks and know how to raise them. However, my covenants prevents me from having any. How I miss living in the country.

We ate their eggs so they never had chicks and after a few years we released them to a lake at the college. They stayed there for quite some time.

Same here, we also ate their eggs, they taste way better than chicken eggs IMO! I let mine have baby ducklings once tho, it was a lot of fun! I'll see if I can find a few pictures....
