Quarantine/Hospital Tank

I am in the process of setting up a quarantine tank. Can you all give me a little insight as to how you have yours set up?
Do you keep copper in the water?
Can I put live rock in it if there's copper in it?
Anything special I should know/do?
It's a 10gal. tank I had laying around. Will this work?
Appreciate ALL suggestions!

I set mine up with the old 20g I had laying around--live rock is a great idea for the quarantine, but if you're going to use it as a hospital take it out and put it in your regular tank. (as it should not be treated with copper) I now leave mine with no substrata, a small powerfilter, heater and live rock.
There was a previous debate over automatically treating new fish with copper-but my opinion is no go- live rock

Definitely agree w/Kris....have a 10g w/some LR & a piece of plastic pipe (for hiding). We quarantine for 10-14 days to make sure no ick & is eating well. Do not treat tank except for vitamins. Run small whisper filter & a UV. It's worked great for our purple tang, banggai cardinal, & now juv. emperor....he needs to be strong & healthy if he's going to put up w/the tang!!!!!!
