Quarantine live rock for ich?

I may have a chance to purchase some live rock from someone who is breaking down a large tank (saw an ad in the paper) So I don't know these people--is there anything to do with the rock to be sure I'm not introducing anything bad like ich to our current tank. I will ask but you know how that goes. Should the rock have a freshwater dip or be treated with something? Its a 180 gallon tank, hopefully they will have some choice stuff! Thanks

If there are no fish in with the rock at my house, how would I know if there was anything "ichy" (pardon the pun) in there until I put it in my tank? Thanks
