quarantine/medicating

have 10 gal quarantine set up with new clown trigger has no signs of disease , been there about a week so far,should i still treat with cupramine as a just in case, my main tank has been disease free along time this is my first new addition in about 18 months

No, you should never treat with copper unless the fish has a disease that is treatable with copper.
Is this a juvenile fish? 10 gal for a trigger is rather small.

I wouldn't treat with Cupramine unless absolutely necessary. If you really want to treat, hypo salinity is a safer route to go. If your tank is disease free and you want to be sure it stays that way, hypo your fish. Hypo doesn't cure all, but it takes long enough than any other issue will usually pop up in this time, it gives you a longer time to observe your fish and at least rule out ich.
