Quarantine question ASAP please!!

Hi everyone, I had a chance to goto the LFS today and they are quite far away, and while there I found a beautiful lion that I purchased. My question is, my quarantine tank is in the last stages of cycling, <still has signs of Nitrite, ~0.8mg/l>. I would have waited to get the lion, but my hour and a half drive 1 way to the fish store wasn't worth going back. Should I still introduce the Lion to the quarantine, or intro him to my main tank, then when the quarantine is finished cycling, move him in there for 3-4 weeks? My 90 gal is very lightly stocked with mainly 90lbs of LR, 3 damsels <which will be going bye bye soon>, a Snowflake and some cleanup critters.
A quick response would be great as Mr. Lion is floating in my quarantine in the dark.
Thanks!!!

My suggestion is to float the bag in the quarantine tank, do a 25% water change and then acclimate the lion to your quarantine tank. I am assuming however that the nitrite was on its way back down and not up... Either way nitrite isn't really all that toxic to marine fish unless in greater concentrations. I would keep an eye on it in the next few days however, and be prepared to do a few water changes if needed. What were you using to cycle the quarantine tank with?

I used a cocktail shrimp and a sponge filter from my main tank. Yes, it is in the declining stages of nitrite. Thanks, im gonna get on that water change so I can start acclimating him to the water, as opposed to just sitting in the bag.
Thanks!!!
