Quarantining Inverts

Hi.
I've had a B/W Clownfish and an Orange Clownfish in my tank (55g) for a few months now and thought about getting anemones for them to live with. I was just in the pet store and asked the owner if you have to quarantine anemones and he said no because they can't get ich. I said that I've read online (here) that you should quarantine snails and crabs because they might carry ich even though they can't get it themselves, and he said that was ridiculous too.
So I just wanted to double check if I should quarantine anemones or if you don't have to.
Thanks.

Well...some people (not me) do quarantine inverts...because the WATER they live in could be contaminated with parasites, the invert is immune....if you put the invert into a QT you wait 6 to 8 weeks to be sure no ich is alive in there with it. The choice is yours.
My problem is that the same rule applies to coral and I can't quarantine coral, because I only have one tank with the high pricey lighting....in a perfect world, quarantine EVERYTHING...is a great idea and not so foolish.
Also..Clown fish don't always bond with said anemone. Cover all of your power heads because anemones like to commit sushi by getting entangled in them, and getting chopped up. Also they go where THEY want, not where you want them to live..sometimes that is in the very back where you never see it.
I can't say they have a mind of their own...because they have no brain...that's right, next time you want to really insult someone call them dumb as an anemone, even a Dandelion growing in the yard has more intelligence. A Dandelion will grow only as tall as just below the blade of your lawnmower after a few cuts...
