Hell all. Its been a while. I had an ick break out a few months ago. The only two fish in the tank were a juvenlie pork. puffer and a black ember blenny. I was able to cure the puffer with garlic (he was stressed because another fish was nipping at his tail so i removed the other fish)and the blenny did not have a break out. Both fish have been healthy for a while now with no problems (knock on wood) Now here is my delema. I want to add another fish to the tank. Should I take the two other fish out of the tank and put them in the 25 gal quarentine tank and do hypo. before i add any new ones? Is it too risky to add another fish to the tank without treating the others since the ick is still present in the tank just not visible. O-yeah, its a 125 gallon with 100 lbs of live rock and 135 lbs of live sand. thanks for the help.

I would have when i had the problem but i didnt have a quarantine tank at the time. I have one now and dont want to have any future problems. I figured it would be easier to quarantine 2 fish now rather than 3 or four later.

Thanks Terry & Ed. wouldn't i still need to do hypo to rid the two fish of ick even if they are not showing any signs? both of the fish are very healthy but i never did hypo when they first got ich which means that they still carry it, right?
