Queen Angel or Blue Angel

I caught another angel today and I cannot tell if its a queen or a blue. Above the tailfin it has blue edging but below the tailfin it is yellow. What do you think it is? Pics will come tomorow.

I'm pretty sure the queen has blue throughout. See oic below. The blue has more of what you are talking about. Either way they are gorgeous fish

How do you catch them?

Yea..I was at the Esplanade on Marco the other day...could have sworn I saw a HUGE French Angel munching on algae on one of the boat lines.
I almost jumped in for it!

Looks kinda like my Blue Angel. Most of the time the verticle stripes on the Blue are more curved than on the Queen at least this is what I have read. Here is my Blue so you can compare.

Dear hobbyist, there's no doubt in my mind that the fish you've caught is a juvenile queen angel fish. Mine was the same color as a juvenile, but that was over 3 years ago,its now nearly 10 '' now in my 150 gallon aquarium, and is the most aggressive fish within the tank . Nobody bothers the queen

Only protected species, which queens and blues aren't, are illegal to catch in any state. If you can catch them on a hook legally, and most all angels you can, you can catch them alive legally. Now, if you're going to sell them, that's another story.

Live rocks, but also any hard corals or sea fans are off limits.

As far as the angels posted, I believe gatorzone's to be a Blue, and McFly's to be a Queen. Generally how I tell on Juvis, directly above and below the caudal (tail fin), Queens have two blue patches that form into soild blue edging around the streamers all the way. Blue's have either one or two yellow patches instead.
That said, they are definitely mixed and not pure either way. The only specific areas we know of that has a "pure" species are Queen's off Brazil.
