question about a hospital tank.. please help

i added copper.. everytime i chec my ammomia reading its sky high after i add all new water..can the copper be throwing the ammonia test off?

yup, this happens ALL THE TIME. Copper messes with the results of ammonia tests BIG TIME! Your ammonia is most likely very low, unless there is reason to not think that. The copper is just messin' with ya-don't worry about it!
