Greetings,
Yet another newbie question from me. I set up a new 90 gallon reef tank with 30 gallon sump on Saturday. Couldn't afford 100 lbs of live rock all at once so I bought 20 lbs of live rock and 20 lbs of baserock to get started in the cycle.
Heres my question. I have a 30 gallon FRESHWATER tank that has been up and running for over a year. Would it benefit the cycle at all to add some of my rock from the freshwater tank to my sump (don't wanna get this crappy rock mixed in with my 100 lbs of puka rock I paid for) to help with the cycle?
Thanks,
Troy
