So i just started my 55 gallon a little over a month ago - im getting fish this friday - but what i cant seem to do is get decent pictures! Can anyone give me suggestions on how to do that?! I've got a digital, Fugi finepix - it takes great pictures - but i just cant seem to do my tank justice like everyone else!

well here are some tips:
1.a camera with manual mode (independant shutter speed, aperture and white balance
2.tripod (often on a stand or in my case end table due to the aquarium height)
3. dont use flash unless your a photography expert
4. high aperture/short shutter speed works better than low aperature/long shutter speed. too much stuff moving.
5. my camera takes almost all aquarium photos better in macro mode.
6. play around with white balance (trial and error). bluish aquariums are hard to get a true representation of what they really look like. whiter lighting is pretty easy.
