How many inches of fish or how many fish do you think would be fine in a 55 gallon FOWLR Tank? I have a pretty long list of fish i would like but i know I couldn't put all of them in there. what are you guys opinions. Here is the list tell me which ones you would go with!
Flame Angel, Snowflake Eel, Watchman goby, Percula Clown, Hippo Tang, Humu Humu Trigger, Lionfish, Blackcap, Engineer goby, or coralbanded shrimp, or cleaner shrimp.
all opinions welcome...and explanations would be nice also.

Flame Angel-Fine
Snowflake Eel-Fine-need tight lid so SFE cant get out
Watchman goby-with SFE, could get eaten
Percula Clown-Fine, might end up as food with older SFE
Hippo Tang-NO tank is too small. Tangs need 6' of swimming room
Humu Humu Trigger--NO Gets too big for tank
Lionfish-Dwarf is ok... Others will get too big for tank
Blackcap-??
Engineer goby-Might end up food w/ SFE
coralbanded shrimp-fine use caution w/ other shrimp
cleaner shrimp-fine
Welcome!!

Pfitz spit out was I was going to say...I don't think there is a general rule, like a 9in puffer would produce more waist than 4 2in fish, just my opinion though

I have always heard that for saltwater, it is one inch of fish for every five gallons of tank water. So in a 55, that would enable you to have eleven inches of fish. Hope this helps. Also you might want to follow this link, it is a compatabilty guide for saltwater fish. http://www.bestfish.com/saltg.html

I think i may hold off on the snowflake eel until i get a 125 then. Are u guys sure a Humu humu is not a good choice. I really like triggers. If i got one it would be really small and introduced the same time as a couple others.

it would be fine, imo, but go with a small niger it will be a lot better, plus if you have a friend that u can give it to it will be a lot better hehehehe

unfortunatly, all triggers get to bea bout 8-9", and the standard 55 is only 12" wide. Thats too tight... There really is no good trigger for a 55... trust me, ive looked. i got a 55 and wanted one too... got a humu humu, and it died. I took that as saying dont put a trigger in the tank.
