Question about fragging Mushrooms

When I frag Mushrooms, do I have to cut through the mouth of the Mushroom? Or can I just cut a chunk out of it? Thanks.

Its best if you can get a section of the mouth on each frag but I've read about people putting a whole mushroom in a blender and dumping the mush back in a tank and ending up with hundreds of individuals.

Holy %$@!!! Has anyone else heard of this? That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. And for some reason,it feels very very wrong! HAha

There is a thread on this site were reefkprz tested this in a mythbusters sort of way. It shows the progress all the way through. I think he ended up with quite a few shrooms when all was said and done. I'll have to try to find in now.

They will heal and become full again faster if you have some of the mouth in the frag.
