Question about hair algae

It seems that where ever I pull off hair algae it just grows in the same exact spot the next day. It is NOT all over my tank, but where it is it just keeps growing back. What am I suppose to do? My Phosphates read zero and I do wc every 7-10 days. Is there a way to keep this from growing in the same spot over and over?

I am getting a fish to eat mine.. A Blue spotted- Kole Tang
I got emerald crabs but they didn't put a dent in it. I pulled off alot of it, and now I am getting a fish to eat it before it grows out of control again.
I over fed my tank to get my coral frags jump started. It worked but the algea liked it as much as the corals.

I have a lawnmower blenny that helps keep algae at bay. So far, he's been a great investment. He keeps all the hair algae gone.

My lawnmower blenny likes the green algea that grows on the back and sides of the tank but wont touch the hair algea.

Hmmm...picky eater??

Mine eats everything algae in form that he can get his mouth on and what he doesn't eat the snails take the rest.

Anyone have other ideas on how to get rid of hair algae?
My scooter blenny would probably not be happy if I added a lawnmower blenny.

These fish have a low survival rate...
The phosphate reading is prolly not a good reading since the HA will consume the Nitrate and phosphate to aid in it growth

Have any hemit crabs?
I had a bit confined to one area -- got really like 2 - 3 inches? I just took out the one rock (cleanup crew wouldn't go near it with all xenia for some reason) and poof all gone. Clean up crew has the whole rest of the tank spotless... lucky it didn't spread I guess

The bottle on the left works well, also yellow tangs love it. depends how old your tank is you will get cycles or hair alge in the beginning. The 1st 2-3 months I had a ton. I use tap water, so but after that t have neven see any of it.

Don't use chemicals... There is no telling whats in there and you cant test for all the crap they put in those bottles and can cause everything to go down the drain real quick

can you remove the rock?
if it is only on one rock it may work...

People have had success with elevated Magnesium "1500ppm +" including myself.It turned translucent over a week and faded away.Just keep an eye on your fish for sluggishness if you decide to try it.
If you have a sump you could also add Macro Algae,Mangroves...
Maybe just flip the rock in question over for a week and starve it of light.
And above all else keep excessive nutrients down.
