Could anyone tell me if it is possible for the ich cycle to occur again while the fish in the QT are being treated with medicine for it?
On April 21, my purple tang, blue tang, and trunk cubicus got the first few dots. I placed all my fish including perc.clown, and a yellow tang in the QT (20 gallons) immediately and started treating with copper sulphate. By night, purple, blue, and yellow tang had died. I discontinued using cop.sul. within two days and changed to QuickCure adding 1 drop per gallon per day. By April 25, all white spots on the trunk cubicus had disappeared. Both the clown and cubicus have been eating well and have been very perky while in QT. However, on April 30, the cubicus had the white spots and "clear capsules" all over his body and fins again. The clown has not had any spots at all. Can the ich cycle happen again while the QuickCure medication is being added every day? Today, I stopped using QuickCure and started doing the hyposalinity method over a period of several hours to see if I can treat the ich better this way. I plan to continue hypo. over a period of three weeks. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />
