question about lfs's tanks and filtration

i was just wondering how at fish stores theres the walls of small aquariums does each tank have its own filtration system or im guessing there all linked up im just being curious

If they ARE linked together,,,BEWARE. This means that any disease that any fish in the entire system or store gets will affect every other tank in there...This is NOT the best way to setup a shop.My LFS has about 40 tanks,and all have thier own seperate filter.This is the best way to have a multiple tank display.

as MR Satly says seperate is best but out of the seven LFS here in town only one has seperate filtration for all their tanks

i agree with mr salyt, the reason lfs's do this, is that they can more easily maintian their water, only check and adjsut one system instead of several(maybe 5 or or more systems, abut theere is still several on each)it is easier for hem to maintian it all consistantly
but not only is hte water shared, but any diseases or parasites too
