I have had my 55 gallon thriving for about 7 months now my livestock are:
sps
lps
zoos
soft corals
sand sifting star
2 brittle stars (and some babies!)
a few peppermint shrimp (origanally three i see some sometimes not sure how many there are could be one or more)
a 4 inch yellowtang
and lastly a sabae anenome and a 2 inch sabae clown (also a pocelone crab that hitch hicked on the anenome)
my question is if i get another littler clownfish will him and the other clown get along and become a mated pair?
i have heard some stories here and there about ppl doing this and not sure if it is true thanks....

Always a risk. The larger may bully the other to its demise. I believe it may be better to get 2 of diff. at the same time, but that is not a sure thing either. Heres our story, the condensed version: Had a Clarkii by itself for a few months(not incl. other tank mates). Decided to buy another smaller version. The small one got bullied by everyone, but mostly by the larger Clarkii. After a week or so, aggression died down and they seemed to have reached an agreement. Added a BTA, large clown took right to it...and then the real aggression started. Poor little guy almost didnt make it. Had to screen off a 1/4 of the tank to nurse him back to health as we had no where to move him and a trip to the LFS probably would have sealed his fate. I was out of town when the large clown got into the screened area(he had been separated for a week, maybe a little more), but luckily they must have talked thru the screen and worked it out. The smaller one still stays away from the anemone area, so we still dont know if they've paired or not. We're just happy to not have lost anyone in the frays. And our BTA just split yesterday, so whether or not the large one will lighten up more or get more aggressive is the question. HTH.
