Question about moonlights

I'm about to get a 20 gallon long reef tank setup (I think it should be 30" long), and I'd like to put moonlights on it. Any suggestions on what I should be buying? Are they all the same? I see plenty of the LED moonlights for sale, but I don't know how many I should be using or if they are all created equal.
Also, I have no canopy for this tank - how and where are they normally mounted? And finally, where is the best place to buy them? The local fish store quote me $20-30, but not sure if that meant for one or for all that I would need.

i have a 20 long and bought a set of 4 prewired with a power pack for like $15 on the famous "bid on stuff" site...search moonlights and you will find them.
I just superglued them the back side of the fixture , angled where I wanted them.
If you use em, point them places where the water is rolling on top and it creates a nice effect at nighttime.
