question about polyps

I recently bought a frag with about 1 polyp and 1 mushroom. When put in the tabk will it "seed" the other live rock and continue to mulitply? If not how do I get it to multiply?

It will divide itself. They reproduce asexually.

I sometimes read about people using the superglue method to "mount" when it comes to mounting polyps but I never quite understood how. I just acclimated the piece of frag rock and placed it in the tank beside my other rocks. Do I just sit and wait? or did I do something wrong?

They'll spread on their own .... leave it be.

Sometimes a polyp will be purchased attached to no rock at all, that's when you would need to glue it. So, like Bigarn said, Let it Be!

I agree they spread there own way.
If you had some that came that werent on the rock then all do you is buy super glue "GEL" it has to be GEL. Pick the coral or polyp or whatever it may be put a good size spot of glue on the bottom place it on the rock and count to lets say 10 for good measures.
