question about puffers..

There are not any real "reef safe" puffers. The only puffers I would even experiment with in a reef are the tobies such as the blue spot and valentini.
The only way I would put 2 large puffers together in the same tank is if you have a very large tank, at least 300 gallons.

puffers are not extremely social fish you may find them in small groups in the wild but with given space between them. how many and of what type will all depend on tank size if you happen to have a large 6 ft tank 150 or larger you might be able to get more than one or possibly 2 of the smaller species.do a google search on puffers you will find a large variety of them to compair max size of these fish if you have 100 gal or less stick with your very small puffers that wont out grow your tank.burrfish and spiney boxfish are of the puffer family not the boxfish/cowfish family and stay much smaller than porcs.
