Question about rock

I am curious. I do not have money to get LR. I just want to get some good looking shelter for my fish. So I was looking at some auctions on ----. The rock that I found was Texas Holey Rock (just do a search for "Aquarium Rock") It is made of limestone. Is there a drawback to limestone? Can this rock (or any kind of rock) eventually become LR if given enough time?

i think limestone raises the PH level but im not sure, maybe one of the vets can answer you for sure.

try a search for hirocks on ---- - I purchased all of my baserock from them. Very beautiful rocks at a really great price. or try their website (same name). All of the holey rock auctions that I saw ended up being way more $$$$ than buying live rock.

ehh.. i have texan holy rock in my 155.. have it for about 1 year now.. it dont seem to do anyting to my water .......... it seems perfectly safe to me..

IMO..Don't use any rock with limestone in it.
