Question about snail propogation!

Sorry but im wondering what can i feed my snails to help them grow and propogate faster???

besides clams!!

Are there any things they Love ??? I have a snail only tank that i raise snails in but im getting a little low and so i figured i would ask around and see if any one had any ideas! Thanx Todd

right now i feed them fish food, flake and algea pellets. But i have noticed when i feed my anenomies shrimp, if any pieces of the shrimp come loose, the snails gang tackle it!! It looks like a frenzy of snails around it. So i will def. start adding that to there diet. In small pieces. I have about 80 snails now. But i just got an order for 50 of them!! SO i really need to gfigure something out soon. If i come up with anything great ill let ya know and or watch this thread too. Talk at ya soon

There Nasarious snails! Andf there mainly good for the substraight. But they tend to become Cleaner crab food very easily! Almost all my cleaner crabs have new homes!! .. Too funny! Todd

Nass. snails are definitely omnivores. I feed mine bits of shrimp, scallops, or saltwater fish from the grocery store.
I agree with you.. no better sand stirrer in the world. I've got 400 in my tank. You typically see about 15 until I put food in the tank; then the sand comes alive with em!

its amazing isnt it!! They come out of know where!! The sand looks like its boiling!!! There the best sand snails i think. Its cool to look real close and you will see there little snouts just sticking up through the sand!! Im going to start shredding some sea food up and feeding it to them!! Maybe they will like that. There really good money down here too!!! I get 2 dollars a piece for them, which is a steal for the people, the lfs here sells them for 4 dollars a piece!!! Anyway thanx for all the interest you all!!

I bought 50 online from the worlds largest auction site. I just wanted to know how i should look for babies?

They will lay these little white eggs on the sides of the tank, rock work, everywhere, but a lot of them on the glass. Have you recieved your yet?? When i first got mine, they went crazy laying eggs everywhere!!!! You will be able to see them. But they will get eaten by your other tank mates too. Thats why i keep them in a seperate tank. At least the ones im propogating anyways.

THANK YOU! I suspected those were eggs, but was never sure. I see them all the time on one particular stretch of glass.

Mine went crazy at laying eggs as well. You really dont have to do anything to get them to lay eggs but to get them to grow faster I have no idea. I know you should keep a close eye on calcium since that is there way of growing there shell.

Hell ya mine love nori sheets to...they actually climb up the glass after them and climb on the clip then the algae untill it falls to the ground then devour it..
I came home 1 day and saw 15-20 of them in the middle real close and i thought right away a fish had died and they were eating it... nope just algae lol

Mine eat some algae but they love meat WAY better than algae.
