Hey everyone... This is my first thread, but I've been viewing for awhile now...
Here's my scenario... Just set up a 90 gallon tank... No fish yet just live rock, filtered by an FX5. My plan is to do an all aggressive tank with a heavy bioload...
My only option for a sump is to use a 10 gallon standard size tank. The skimmer I am looking at is the Reef Octopus 6 pinwheel skimmer rate for 150 gallons. The skimmer will fit... Leaving enough room for baffles and my return pump... However, I am unsure of the minimum water height needed for the skimmer in its chamber... The height of the sump is 12''. Is my sump going to be tall enough? Will I have any issues with a power outage? Will a sump this small with that skimmer constrict its potential?
Hopefully this wasn't too confusing and thanks for any imput...
