Question about SWF.com and LR

I have heard really good things about ordering from this website and was considering ordering my LR from them as it is significantly cheaper than at the LFS. However, I live in AZ and they ship out of FL which means that the LR would have to go through TN more than likely in order to get to me. So, my question is what sort of effect does temperature variation have on LR since it could potentially get very cold in that part of the country on its way here. Would I be better of paying more and getting it locally?

most likely you wil have to cure it where ever you get it from. they do have great packaging methods on this site. never personally gotten lr from here.

Not sure on the effect of the temperature change, however this is from an earlier post I had about the LR I orderd. I am definately not knocking SWF.com as their product speaks volume for itself, however, as stated below... :notsure:
One concern I did have was whenI purchased the 2 LR packages they offer here. 20-25lbs and 45-50lbs. I was curious when i saw that the shipping weight was 20 and 45lbs respectively, so I weighed the box from the 45-50lbs I purchased and the box weighed just under 10lbs. So that basically meant I paid about $225.00 (includeing surcharges) for about 35lbs of LR, or $6.45 per pound.
The 20-25lbs I ordered was probably closer to 15lbs of actual LR which at the price of $125.00 comes out to $8.33 per pound.
However, I will still make purchases from here as the customer service and their products are very good.

I got LR here. Great stuff (nice big chunks, very porous, and TONS of life). It was about as close to cured as you'll ever find. No rotten smell at all. They shipped it in a thick styrofoam cooler with heatpacks. No worries about temperature.
One word of warning: I ordered the 20-25 pound box, and the whole thing (cooler and all) was exactly 20.0 pounds shipped. Just take that into account when figuring out how much it costs per pound here.
