Question about VHO wattage?

I was going to upgrade my 40 w flourecents to two 48" VHO's. I went to Home Depot to see if I could find any fixtures there because it would be cheaper than buying a setup online. I found a high output light fixture that had a 60 w bulb that came with it. My question is would I need a different VHO fixture if I wanted to use a bulb stronger than 60 w or would it be compatible with any VHO light, no matter the wattage. I want to get a stronger bulb but I don't want to buy it if it will not work with the light fixture I'm buying. I'm kind of confused on the lighting subject so any replies will help.

If you want 2 cheap 48" VHO's here's what I did:
1 Cheapo 48" shop light fixture - 9.00 bucks
1 electronic ballast rated @ 980mA - 27.00 bucks
2 VHO bulbs - depends on where ya buy em
I gutted the light fixture and used the electronic ballast on it. This gave me power cord/wiring/end sockets/reflector. I used a powerstrip then for the on/off. Caught alot of crap from a couple of people that wouldn't believe it would work but it does and fine.

Thanks that's what I needed to know but I just didn't know how to ask because I'm not that familiar with all the lingo about lights.
