I had a beautiful sebae anenome, huge with a yellow striped maroon clown hosting it. It had been in the tank over a month, the clown fed it very well, it was fun to watch, one day it came off the rock it was on went into a heap and died. I can't figure out why? The tank is good and healthy, the only thing close to it was a clam, could that have injured it?

How long has your tank been set up and what are your water perameters? What kind and how many watts does your lighting provide?

The tank has beenup for 2 yrs. I reciently moved it but brought all the same water, sand etc. The lights I'm new at but it is a huge top with 8 55wt compact flo. in it 2 are actinic, a fish sales man just told me it could have been bristle worms. So I just ordered a trap and a spotted hawk fish.

It doesn't sound like the clam had anything to do with it.
So you have 440 watts of PC lighting, however you did recently move the tank. Water seemed good.
When you say the anemone was in a heap what do you mean?
Did it just look deflated or like it melted?
Was it a DSB sandbed or shallow sand bed?
Can you tell me if you had large ph swings?
What color was the anemone
Sometimes we think we have things right and something up and dies on us. Sometimes things just are not hardy enough to live in our little glass boxes of water. Sebae's tend to be a touchy anemone and many have a rather poor sucess rate with them. Many die in the first 6 months for many reasons. If the sebae was white then it was most likely unhealthy.
