I got a Outerorbits HQI 24" with a tanks I bought. Im not sure how long the bulb has been in there so I might as well change it
Whats the best bulb for it or do i have to go back with a 150 10,000K, can i use a 15,000k or higher, are they realy better?

Thanks for any help

You can use any DE 150w bulb. You just need to consider the color you like and what types of "livestock" you'll be trying to keep.

the lower the K the better growth you will get, the higer the K the more blue the light the better your corals will look. With only a MH and no actinics most use a 14 to 15K some people even like 20Ks to have some nice color. In frag tanks growth is the most important so color isnt really a concern. HTH.
