I have a bunch of IV infusion sets and lots of new unused never fillled bags I want to set up on some PICO tanks. So what are the IV drip sets usually used and inserted by paramedics...MICRO or MACRO drip infusion sets......How do you tell the difference?
I assume its what 20 drops = 1ml, so if a bag with 900 ML of fluid was dripped at the rate of 20 drops a minute would a bag not last approximately 15 hours, or is that drip rate too much to expect. Anyone have any idea what the drip rate range is with the IV sets?
